Part 1-Dining Hall Building Fundraiser  $22,000

Tumaini (Hope in Swahili) Evangelistic Pre & Primary School currently offers 2 meals a day to our 160 students. (To learn more about the school go to Blessed2BlessU Ministries, Inc. website) Nutrition is vital to the learning process and typically in the culture of the Maasai the kids don't get enough food.  So, in the morning they get a cup of porridge and at lunch they get normal Tanzania meals of Ugali and Beans or Rice and Beans or Corn and Beans (yes beans all the time).

We have some seating for the students in the open air (not in shade) for them to eat their meals. But, with the growing student population, some are having to sit on the ground to eat.  While this may be normal at home for the students, we want to provide them with a safer and more hygienic solution.

We have designed the dining hall to be open air for breezes but with a roof to help provide shade.  The students will have tables and benches to sit on with a concrete floor that will be easy to clean.  The hall will also have a stage area for Staff to address the students as well as a place for students to perform for their parents and others.

The price includes all furnishings for 200 students as well as a solar power system.

Part 2-Missionary Vehicle $8,000

Our full-time missionary currently uses local transportation to travel to and from the city of Moshi to buy supplies both for himself and the school.  This means getting on a motorcycle taxi for 30 minutes to get to the local dalla dalla van stop in Msitu wa Tembo.

After he gets to the dalla dalla stop he must board a van that will carry him and 29 others to Moshi.  A trip of approximately an 1-1/2 hours in a metal box in Tanzania heat.  To learn more about our onsite missionary visit his blog at steveandbarnabas.com.

Both due to the COVID Pandemic and the health risks of traveling in the vans and the fact he has injured his knees, a vehicle for him to use to conduct our business is badly needed.
